You should wear comfortable, breathable clothing. In addition, please wear shoes that are designated for athletic purposes. Feel free to ask your trainer for recommendations on specific athletic shoes and apparel.

This tends to be a common question for individuals not familiar with our program. We are not an aerobic class – we’re actually far from it.
As you may know, aerobic classes exploded on the scene in the 1980’s. They are often disguised under names such as “body sculpting” or “core toning” classes. Here are some of the major differences between aerobic classes and Just for Her Boot Camps:
Nutrition is the #1 component in every fitness program. If you’re not eating healthy, you’re not getting results. Aerobic classes miss the most important part of weight loss program, which is always nutrition.
We will hand you a complete shopping list and sample meal plans the day you become a member to ensure your success.
To design a quality fitness program you must assess the individual’s core, strength, and flexibility. By doing so you can create a specific plan and goals. Aerobic classes do not offer any type of fitness assessment.
Each workout our members are assessed and shown several variations of each exercise to ensure their safety and progress.
There’s no accountability or on-going support in an aerobic class.
You can come and go as you wish in an aerobic class. It doesn’t matter if you go every day, randomly, or stop completely. Most aerobic participants stop completely or go randomly throughout the year, which ends up being a complete waste of time of far as results go.
We offer both weekly accountability and unlimited support for your entire journey. You are welcomed to call or email your trainer at any time if you have questions or just need a little pick me up.

Just for Her Boot Camps is not one of those military-style boot camps that new recruits endure when they join the army. In fact, we aren’t military style at all! We use the word boot camp, because that’s it is the word that everyone recognizes for group fitness training. There’s no yelling involved, you are trained by some of Pittsburgh’s top Personal Trainers not an over the top “drill sergeant”.
Our group personal training classes are 45-minutes of the most effective strength and cardio combinations possible—in fact we use interval-type training that is scientifically proven to be the most effective type of exercise for losing body fat and building that long, lean sexy muscle mass.
This is NOT your typical group fitness class. We have taken our exclusive one-on-one training model and integrated it into our group personal training program.
This is how our workout breaks down:
10 Minutes
Self-Massage Techniques – Each class begins with a complete, state-of-the-art warm-up to best prevent unwanted injury and to allow for a more effective workout. You will use tennis balls or foam rollers to massage your tight areas – learning these techniques will make a major difference in your overall performance.
10 Minutes
Dynamic Stretching/Muscle Activation - This is the time to stretch and prepare your body for the workout.
20 Minutes
Full Body Strength-Cardio Routine – We utilize the most effective strength and cardio combinations possible—in fact we use interval-type training that is scientifically proven to be the most effective type of exercise for losing body fat and toning your body.
5 Minutes
High Intensity Cardio – We often end our workout with a 4-5 minute high intensity cardio routine. It is the icing on the cake. We will also teach you how to utilize these 4-5 minute workouts on your own to maximize your results.
10-15 Minute
If you can stay for an additional 15 minutes we’ll work on stretching and self-massage again to best prevent nagging aches and pains and reduce soreness between workouts.
Yes you can! One of the main reasons we differ from other fitness boot camps out there is that we cater to the individual and don’t just have one set workout for everyone. Instead we show modifications, progressions, regressions, and low and high impact options so that every single person can work out to her own fitness level. We know that all of our members are at different fitness levels and different points in their long-term goals. That is why we cater every workout-- every single exercise to the INDIVIDUAL.
